Q1. Does mini-split type air conditioner include heat and cool functions?

A: Yes, all the mini-split type air conditioners are including heat and cool air functions.

Q2. How much is the shipping cost?

A: The shipping cost is based on the UPS real time accept program interface (API) to directly provide the shipping cost and without add any extra handling fee or shipping fee. Due to we have high volume shipping items, which the shipping cost have been discounted 25~35% by our forwarder. Please go to our shopping cart page.

Q3. Who is the forwarder?

A: We are mostly selecting the best shipping methods to fit the customers location. The FedEx and UPS are our key forwarders, but if the product gross weight is less than 3 lb that will available shipped by US postage service USPS).

Q4. How can I choose the appropriate heat and cool to coverage my house / room?

A: Choosing Properly Sized Room Air Conditioners

Many people buy an air conditioner that is too large, thinking it will provider better cooling. However, an oversized air conditioner is actually less effective - and wastes energy at the same time. Air conditioners remove both heat and humidity from the air. If the unit is too large, it will cool the room quickly, but only remove some of the humidity. To figure out which size unit is best for your cooling needs:

I. Determine the square footage of the area to be cooled using the following formulas:
  • For square and rectangular rooms, multiply the length of the area by its width
  • For a triangular area, multiply the length of the area by the width and divide by 2

Most rooms can be further divided into these basic shapes to determine the square footage.

If the shape of your room is other than square or rectangular, ask your sales associate to help you determine the square footage.

II. Using the square footage and the chart below, determine the correct cooling capacity. Cooling capacity is measured in British thermal units (BTU) per hour.

III. Make any adjustments for the following circumstances:

  • If the room is heavily shaded, reduce capacity by 10 percent.
  • If the room is very sunny, increase capacity by 10 percent.
  • If more than two people regularly occupy the room, add 600 BTU for each additional person.
  • If the unit is used in a kitchen, increase capacity by 4,000 BTU.
  • Consider where you install the unit. If you are mounting an air conditioner near the corner of a room, look for a unit that can send the airflow in the right direction.

Such as tubing bender, flaring tool, appropriate sized tubing cutter, gas leak detector or vacuum pump for tubing connect leaks check.

A: Based on our data, if the unit installed on the right procedure which can easily last more than 10 more years with appropriate maintenance procedures. But if during the installation the water or dirt went into the tubing which will damage the compressor and short the lifetime.

Q10. Do I need to refill the refrigerant (freon gas=R22) to the compressor unit?

A: No, all our units are pre-fill the refrigerant in the compressor, which every unit is allowing the tubing to 25' (7.5m), if your indoor and outdoor units are between more than 25' long tubing which you will need too refill the refrigerant in the compressor to bring up the cooling and heating efficiency. For the volume of the refrigerant R22, which is 2.82 lbs (45.12oz) standard in the compressor. The Refrigerant (R22) pressure is 145~150psi.

  • Additional volume of the refrigerant  for <519 inch is 0.3 kg/m.
  • Please use the needle valve on the low-pressure value of the outdoor unit. to fill in additional refrigerant.

Q12. How quickly can I receive the product after I ordered?

A: Normally, after we received order, which will shipping out from our warehouse within 24 hours. We do not have certainly fit days to answer the questions. We are expecting 7~ 10 business days by ground. For supporting customer track able, after we shipped the product and the same day we are sending shipping notification with each parcel tracking number, packing list and invoice.

Q13. What is the PTC Heater?

A: PTC is a semiconductor ceramic that has a very high Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC). When power is applied on the PTC, its resistance initially decreases and its temperature increases. This reduction of resistance accounts for the inrush current which usually occurs within the first 5 seconds.

As the temperature of the PTC increases and reaches the PTCs Curie Temperature (Tx), its resistance drastically increases, resulting in current reduction. Current reduction also means power reduction and temperature reduction. Thus, the PTC material will try to maintain a constant temperature which in practical applications (near the Curie Temperature) is practically independent of the air flow applied.

The PTC heat output can be regulated by the air flow applied in typical applications of heat generation; the higher the air flow, the higher the heat output.

-Caution-: Every time restart the unit must wait after 3 minutes.

The unit memory chip is setting on the AUTO Mode to find out each function operates correctly. You must press your "Mode Button" on the Remove controller. Each time the button is pressed, the operation mode is changed in sequence, from

  1. Is the remote controller "Operation MODE" indicating on the Heat mode?

    The operating procedure is on the owner manual at the middle of the page 5. Press you operation MODE button, select the Heat Mode (Sun mark).  Each time the MODE button is pressed the operation mode is changed in sequence from  AUTO ( Circulating Mark), COOL (Ice Crystal Mark), DRY (Water Mark), HEAT (Sun Mark).  
  2. Confirm the room temperature, does the temperature set too low?
    If it is please set the temperature to suitable higher temperature.
  3. Defrosting (Owner Manual Page 8)
    When the outdoor air temperature is very low and humility is very high, frosting will occur to the exchanger of the outdoor unit, which has negative impacts upon the efficiency of the heating performance. In such case, the automatic defrosting function will come into function. The heating operation will be stopped short period of time 5~10 minutes to defrost the outdoor unit.
       
    a.    The fans of both the outdoor and indoor units are stopped. During the defrosting operation, the run light will indicate flashing slowly.
       
    b.    During the defrosting, the outdoor unit might generate some steam. It is caused by fast defrosting, which is not a performance failure.
       
    c.    Upon the completion of the defrosting process, the operation is resumed.
